TMOs Get Higher Satisfaction Rates - London Conference Told
Over 100 delegates gathered in Westminster for the London and South Regional Conference of the NFTMO
DEynsford TMO in the London Borough of Southwark will go ahead and manage their council homes after a conclusive vote in favour of the TMO in a recent Right to Manage ballot.
The Frontier Centre in Northamptonshire was the venue for young people from TMO areas to come together for a weekend of fun~ adventure and planning. The event was sponsored by the Terry Edis Trust.
Communities Minister Stephen Williams MP was clearly impressed by his visit to Cowley Residents Management Organisation in Lambeth last week. He tweeted “Great discussion with Cowley Estate tenant management group. Well managed estate~ planted a tree too! Hope it thrives”.
Delegates at the NFTMO regional conference in Birmingham called for a better understanding of the reasons why TMOs need to generate surplus funds if they are to be sustainable enterprises.
NFTMO members planning to attend the Annual Conference can save nearly £50 per person by booking and paying before March 31st. Delegate fees have been pegged at last years prices.
Following last years success nominations are being invited for the 2014 TMO Achievement Awards. The closing date is April 30th.

WATMOS Community Homes has appointed Tom Hopkins as their new Chief Executive Officer. Tom~ who was Managing Director at the national resident training and advisory consultancy Open Communities~ joined WATMOS at the start of January.
